The Mokador New Year Music and Poetry Extravaganza brings you a variegated taste of blooming and ripened artists. The Event is to celebrate the coming a prospective and thought to be progressive new year, as well as creating new spaces for the Zimbabwe Young Talent. We hope and believe in celebrating together with you on the night. We are having on the line the Ebony Sheik founder George Porgie, he once played with Don Gumbo and Busi Ncube, Edgar Langaveldt will be in the house at the master of ceremony, Rival Tribe a young Sungura outfit. Vibrant Afro soul young band the Laggards. Young female and male poets with their vibrant voices, Poets like Mwana Afrika, Dimitri, Carter, Dariius, Momo, Unique, Yvonne, Terry K, Chikepe, Zvevanhu, Zimbabwe Poets for Human Rights, Dblok and many others. Not forgeting slo act of Mbira zdemutupo, Innocent Mupemba and his afrocentric artistic prowess. We will be bringing you the Program of the Event on the day.

Editorial note- While we are in the month of November, the month that is believed as the sacred month by many of the African Descent. We also advocate for the stop and end in Gender Based Violence mostly known as GBV in Zimbabwe. GirlChildCreativity publishes a poem by Tanaka Bandera titled MY TIME IS UP Tanaka is a Theatre and Arts Student at the Midlands State University. The poem is pregnant with emotion as young poet stands her ground in unmasking the chauvinistic behaviour of the other gender.
